2nd gen tonneau

Any 2nd Gen tonneau covers that won’t break the bank? My softopper bit the dust and I’d like to go a different route

 

Do you need it to fold?
If not, hard to go wrong with an Undercover.

 

Gator trifold soft is like $260

 

Cheap roll up is like $100 give or take. And rolling up gets more out of the way for cargo or driving with it open.

May not be better than a Softopper though that has vertical room.

 

I would recommend any Hard Tri Fold.
I have a tonnopro that came with the truck. It’s still holding up. Its strong and secure enough, I’m light so I can step on the edge, as it has leather on top with a aluminum plate underneath.
But If you can live with the last section not folding.

You can go with the Back Flip.

But the Back flip is too expensive for me, doesn’t seal water after a while, and in my area freezes solid in the winter.

Bought this about 1.5 years ago. Works great, if you're not worried about sticky hands. Ended up switching over to a softopper though.

 

I have the bakflip along with a pop and lock tailgate lock.
