2nd Gen tranny detent spring position help needed.

Hello, I am in the middle of doing the first part of the tranny flush on a 2008 tacoma auto,4.0. I was changing the filter and mistakenly took out the bolt that holds the two piece detent spring. [that is what a person called it in a youtube video of a person changing the tranny valve]. It is a two piece assembly about 5 inches long and another piece about two inches long. The rounded part at the end of the long piece seems like it should press or gently ride on a small plate with rounded notches when you move the gear shift lever. On the opposite end of both pieces[facing the front of the vehicle] there are two tabs that bend up 90 deg. ] towards the cab. On the smaller of the two pieces that tab can either go on the drivers side or the passenger side of the tab on the larger piece. I think the tab on the small piece goes on the drivers side and the tab on the larger piece goes on the passenger side. Is this correct. I am trying to figure out how to post a picture. I could email some pics to someone if anyone could help. Things were going great until this happened. Thank you very much.
