If anyone wants to trade + cash their dual color for a pair of white 2nd gen map lights, let me know! I would also be willing to trade 1 side white for 1 side red, that way we can have them both!

Or @mesojdm, are you going to make more dual colors?

Did you try a heat gun to fix the plastic trimming? Works for scratches, not sure about a divot though

I did the same thing on the passenger side when I installed mine. I drilled a small hole then used a small bolt with two internal teeth lock washers to allow me to keep the bolt at just the right length/position.

Damn I almost broke mine the first time I installed,

the best way I found to install was to put the two hook tabs in first then position the rear tabs near the on/off button where they would line up,

press slightly!! On the tabs near the on/off button

they will pop in only about half way and start to bend cause there so thin, use both of your thumbs on the first two hook tabs and press the map light in and forward, and the light should pop in evenly and move freely

I’ve used that method 6 times now and it seems to work the best without bending my tabs to much, I’ve also installed map lights on my buddy’s vehicles with same method and haven’t broken any tabs yet,

I have bent my own tabs though

I did it while it was up there. Probably much easier to do it when it's off, but I didn't want to F'up something else

I'm very excited about these. Such a much needed improvement! @mesojdm - when do you expect to have the red/white map lights back in stock?
