2nd Gen Ultimate LED Dome and Map lights

I know I'm pushing my luck here... but are any of those in production dual color?

@MESO, are you prepping the product you described last March? This was described as a dual color/full dimming lamp.

 

Yes. 2nd Gen maps are done.
Options when available: RED or WHITE

Domes are in packaging. Options when available: DUAL COLOR (red/White)
Or DUAL BRIGHTNESS (dim/BRIGHT!) white only.

 

Correct. They will all launch at the same time. I don’t want to sell maps first then people ask about the domes, etc. so when they are all ready (2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4 runner) I will list them. Been a long time coming but I think everyone will be happy with the product.

what’s the benefit from the red light? Just for looks I assume or...?

 

helps keeps your pupils dilated for low light. (it doesnt "reset" your night vision when you flick on them in the dark)





also looks cool lol






My current Dome is always falling out on the trail, or flickers, or just doesnt turn on and needs a smack or two.
I was going to just slap the factory dome back in but, maybe a meso V2 is just what i need

Transitioning from dark situations to ON in the cab it’s much easier on your eyes. Believe it or not.. just the red output is as brightwe than the stock yellow Halogen bulb lol

 

Well shoot, if that’s the case I might as well do the dual color & experience it for myself! Sounds like a good alternative to only have bright white lights even if they do dim

 

Hey I emailed you forever ago about my dual map lights only half the led boards working I can wait on replacements want that over a refund.

 

Unfortunately dual color maps are not in production. I have a design just have not tested the prototype. It will be a while. I am more than happy to refund in full though.

 

Looks like I’m losin’ some on my Red Dome. No biggie. Actually looks pretty good with a bit of a divider but if I lose anymore I may need another.

Yeah, I just had so many designs on my plate between all the platforms I couldn’t make every model with every Configuration. they will come later though.

What is the deal with Meso? Is he just a dude in his garage that makes like ten of something then in 6 months or so he makes ten of something else? I checked out the site but basically everything is out of stock. Does he just make plastic Tacoma stuff on the weekends?

 

The difference between making 50 at a time vs a 1000 is a shit ton of work that takes up the time he would have spent making the 50.

 

Technically.. I’m still a guy in a a
Garage. The delay has really been focusing on other projects throughout the past year(3rd gen Tacoma’s mainly because that’s what I have to R&D on). Also, I fund everything out of pocket.. no preorders, down payments, etc. Which means I don’t have the capital to invest in every single mold, design, and product all at the same time. I have to do a few at a time, and then use that money and move it to the next.
Hayrider is Correct, the LEDS and PCB’s are made over seas. But I do most of my injection molding over here(local company I use to work at). With the QTY and production level I am starting to get to, it doesn’t pan out to get LEDs produced over here... otherwise I would have to charge $100+ for a map light. I still QC, and finalize all the designs so the quality is still there. I would actually bet that even the “USA” manuf. light companies use chips
