2nd Gen Ultimate LED Dome and Map lights

wait, black out kits for 2nd gen?

 

I got my 3rd gen dome light today. I guess the 2nd gen will show up later on. My original 2gen still works as well as the day I installed it. I'm not in any hurry and can wait patiently.

 

I got my map lights in and the product and packaging are primo but following the link to the installs documentation page yields no install documentation for the map lights.


I did swap them out but I’m not sure if the old reflector stayed or not soooo I removed it.

I’ll have to wait for my turn to buy a dome light.
Love the map lights, should have worn my welding helmet when turning it on

Are there gen3 combo red/white map lights available or are they only for 2nd gen? I can only find gen2 on the Meso site.

 

I like that red white & blue MESO sticker. Maybe there will be some rw&b domelights one day.

 

I'm prepping to paint them right now.

Clean, scuff, primer+paint.

I'm going with matt black because I have tan/black interior and the grey wouldn't mesh very well

@MESO The site says 3rd gen map lights in white are sold out and will be replenished towards the end of the month. Can you advise? Thanks!

 

Anyone who's painted their map lights..... any tip on removing the board? Don't want to break the tabs but want to paint them to match my overhead console

 

They pop out with a little wrestling. Just take your time. I used a small trim removal tool to pry it out.

I know replacement 2nd gen dome lights are coming. Are any going to be available for purchase at that time, or is that strictly to replace the recently released/ordered?

Not mad... but even the Red maps are bright as hell! Lol

 

I could not get an Xbox pre order. Scalpers got most of them, I was waiting ready before it went live too. Looks like I will have to wait until 2021. Luckily I got a PS5 pre-order out of blind luck, I saw it was available at Best Buy at 1am and pulled the trigger.
