@MESO , are duel color coming back? I think some peeps want in.

 

He's replied many times that he's working on them and has even posted some of the specs in this thread. He said he'll let us know when they're ready.

 

They came and went already. These folks are waiting on the restock

 

Oh wait I wrongfully assumed he was talking about the dual color maps... I bough the dual color dome when it came out. My bad

 

I’ve had dual color maps from him for awhile.

 

Yeah he made them way back when but he's working on a new version that as far as I know hasn't been released yet. Similar updates as the new maps and domes. Straight from the mouth of MESO right here:

Crazy, but I’m trying to figure out how to make them not as bright.

Hi, anyone have issues with the V2 dome light? They worked for the first week, then blew my DOME fuse. I tried with two new fuses, and it blew them both immediately. I am not very saavy with electricals, and would like some help solving this issue.

I've contacted @MESO multiple times through email, and there is no response. I googled the issue, and seems others are experiencing this too, but mainly on the third gen?

 

Please submit a ticket at the bottom of my website. Not sure what email you are sending it to but this way me or my team will definitely see it. We can get you out a replacement, something might be touching it short circuiting in it. Not common, but you never know with electronics

I ordered these about a month or two ago and absolutely fantastic. Brightness is almost too good but I'm not gonna complain. I do wish that you had the dual color maps in stock so I could've picked them up when I got the dual dome light but outstanding.

One question: Have you gotten any feedback from anyone on a slight rattle on the dome light (vibrations from wind pushing on the roof it seems like) and do you have any suggestions on muting it? I was contemplating possibly trying to see about maybe putting a bit of foam with sticky tape in there but I didn't want to cause any issues.

Thanks again, the lights are awesome and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a premium bright led interior light setup to pick up a set of these bad boys.

 

How are you guys wedging this adapter in the light. Is a lot smaller than the holder.

 

A: remove the old lamp (done)

B: pinch the spring clips in the fixture closed - or closer together. The spring clips remain separated slightly

C: insert the new festoon. the spring clips will capture it on the conical ends. It will not be grasped by the spring clips in the same 'snap in' manner as the original lamp. This is ok. All it needs is to be making contact.

D: Install the LED light fixture. Locate "Eclipse" glasses. Enjoy.

 

I am having the same issue. Dome light worked fine until I went to install the Maps. Maybe it is my dome light causing the issue. I have burned through 4 fuses so far tinkering with it. Have you had any luck?

 

If you can’t spot the problem visually it’s time for a DMM to find the short. I’ve had all white in both maps & dome for more than a year with no issues. You might need to drop the headliner if the wire damage is even an inch out of reach. There are some unprotected metal edges up there that could cause it with not much in the way of tugging on the harness.
