Having them in (modded Amazon set) they are probably too bright. One option would be to swap out the 8- 910 resistors on each side(16 total) or instead install a true current limiting led driver that can add brightness modes. The second option might be easier if I can find one with 12v input in the right current outputs and just use the other pair of plugs to wire it up.

The V2 2nd Gen Dual Color Dome Light is back in stock. Finally got to use the gift cards I purchased during a 30% off sale during 2022 Black Friday that I had been saving for when the Domes came back in stock.

Received the dome today. Went to install, and the wrong size festoon bulb has been wired to it from MESO. Submitted a “contact us” form, but last time I did that it took almost two weeks to get a response. Pic is of the bulb being too short.

If anyone is having trouble, I remembered there's a customer service handle.

    And the handle is ↓
Hopefully this is helpful to those who are still having issues.

    what are those?
from reading back it does look like you have to bend the tabs, it doesn't snap in like the stock bulb it just needs to make contact.

Not exactly an ideal solution when you have to bend it out of shape because the aftermarket part is made wrong. Personally I’d rather fuck with the Meso part first or add an adapter to one end than do irreversible damage to install a part with a doubtful future.

I'm not saying its right I am more saying that it shouldn't have been a surprise based on previous posts it was always smaller than the original bulb and tabs need to be bent, I ordered one too that is sitting at my post office in the states until I go down next week so we will see, honestly my truck has been cut and modified so much a few bent tabs isn't going to make me loose any sleep as long as it functions but that's just me.

Well said. Got mine a few years ago and its still sitting pretty. Been through plenty of trail runs, camping trips and curb mounts. If slightly bending a couple tabs is a deal breaker for anyone, maybe modifications aren't for you lol. @MESO works hard on his products and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't release something if it didn't work right. Just my opinion.

I’m using mine which is older with the correct festoon but I prefer to mod the mod than be unable to revert to the correct bulb size. I’ve cut and drilled my truck aplenty so it’s not out of reluctance for that. It’s because of the poor reliability and lack of customer support that leads me to believe I might at some point HAVE to go back to stock or some other led bulbs that do fit. I’ve already had to reload my maps with diy panels and will have to do the same with my dome as well since it has blank rows now.

My comment wasn't aimed at you my friend. :) I see the issues and it's a total bummer. Makes me wonder if something is going on with customer service at meso. He's usually quick to remedy an issue, especially here on TW.

Well, I hope you get your stuff sorted out! Please post a picture if you end up soldering on that original bulb!

I have some spring loaded festoon adapters that will fit if anyone cares to splice one in and make it plug and play without bending anything. PM......

So I got mine from my po box and installed it a few minutes ago, I didn't need to bend the tabs i just centered it and pushed it in and it seems to hold perfectly fine, it doesn't snap in like the old led I had in there but it's snug and all seems to work as intended even if the its smaller...if i have any issue after some offroad testing I will report back
