Does anyone else have an issue with the dome light where it lights up (super dim where you can barely see it) when you switch to “door” even with the doors closed? It still functions otherwise (on when doors open and off when “off”) but trying to see if I’m the only one with this issue of it there’s a fix for it.

For clarity, I had this issue with the LED bulb I had in there before so I know it’s not a problem with my MESO dome.

The light still operates at full brightness when you open the door, it’s just that when the doors are closed and the light is supposed to be “off”. It is lit with the faintest light. Most people wouldn’t notice it. I can still switch it to “off” and the light turns off and “on” for on. It’s just that “door” gives me the dim light with the doors closed and then full bright when I open the door. Strange and never really bothered me but thought I’d ask.

Thanks. It never really bothered me since I don’t use the door feature anyway. But just thought it was wierd. Only noticed it when I switched to LED.

It prob isn’t carrying enough current to illuminate an incandescent but bc it’s led now you can see it.

You making more of these? I’d like the red multi front and red rear.

I have a replacement LED bulb in my dome area as I havnt had the chance to pull the trigger on these yet, but mine do the same thing where after Im in the vehicle and starting to go somewhere I will notice that the dome is still faintly lit for a little bit before it finally shuts off. Up until this point, I thought it was a symptom of the LED bulb that's in there...but maybe not?

It’s one of those weird things that some trucks do and some trucks don’t. I know 1st gens were notorious for doing it when replacing incandescents with LED. Never affected the 2002 I put an LED dome in.

My truck didn’t do it with the regular festoon panel I put in and doesn’t do it with the MESO panel. Just one of those weird things.

Thanks guys. So it sounds like I’m not the only one. I was worried I’d have to chase it down. Like I mentioned it never really
Bothered me because I don’t use the “door” feature but just thought it was wierd. With the festoon LED it was barely noticeable, but with the MESO panel being so much brighter you can definitely tell it’s on. Here’s a pic I snagged last night:

    5C462902-7F3C-46E8-A4AC-E8D26D4BF45E.jpg

That’s what it looks like set to “door” and the doors closed.

On the plus side, I guess I have mood lighting now for those quick uh... meets.

I will say that the fitment on the map lights needs some minor tweaking and the wiring leaves a little to be desired as there were connection issues when snapping the lights in but they work great.
