I’m fully aware that fiberglass shells won’t interchange between 2nd and 3rd gens because of the tailgate and cab contours but how bout an aluminum contractor cap?
I noticed the contractor caps are pretty square and don’t really follow the contours of the cab and since I’m looking at a cap with barn doors the tailgate part won’t matter.
According to my research a 3rd gen bed is 1” taller than a 2nd gen so I’m not sure how that would affect the function of the barn doors.
Anyone have experience putting a 2nd gen cap with barn doors on a 3rd gen?
