Is the softopper for both the 3rd gen and 2nd gen Tacoma’s the same? If not, what tells the difference?

I was given a brand new softopper but it turns out that it’s for a long bed Tacoma and mine is the short bed. I’m pretty sure this softopper is for the 3rd gen but want to make sure before I try to sell it. As you can tell from the pics it’s a bit wrinkled because it’s been in the cover the entire time and not installed.

I don’t know if the model number is listed anywhere but the older second gen toppers were taller than the new third gen toppers. At some point softopper discontinued the older tall model and now sells one topper for both second and third gen.

I haven't noticed any model number anywhere. I'm pretty sure it's the current model but was just wondering if there were any big design changes between the two that would clearly differentiate them.

How are these with dust ingress from gravel roads?

I'm not sure how good they are but from what I've read up on them, they are great. I want to get one for my short bed but need to get rid of this one first.

According to the sales rep I talked to, the 3rd gen softopper did about an inch shorter because the bedsides on a 3rd gen are slightly taller.

I have a 3rd gen topper on my second gen (on purpose so my custom bed rack for the rtt can sit flush w the roof line), and it’s definitely noticeable that it’s slightly lower than the roof line without the bed rack on

Mine did great driving on gravel and rocky roads in Big Bend. No dust inside the bed.
