1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
Very happy how it turned out. Imho looks like a 2nd gen should have looked liked from the factory. Ride is great, I have no regrets. I was a bit worried about it driving like a dump truck with a plow hanging from the front due to the coil weight, but it drives exactly how I would expect a Sport Tacoma to drive. I don't think there is anything wrong with the Hitachi's unlike some of the threads here seem to imply. If you like softer ride go with OR, if more firmer, but not punishing or harsh ride is you preference go Sport, otherwise pick whichever is available cheaper would be my take from this.

Just a disclaimer, these are just my initial impressions and my old suspension was pretty much shot. I will post back in a month or two when it settles and when I have a better feel for it, but yeah, I'm happy. I don't think I measured on perfectly level ground, but got about 1 1/8" on driver side and 1 1/4" on passenger side. So hub to fender now is 21 1/8" driver front, 21 1/4" passenger front, 22" rear. This is on a DCSB 4x4. Will update in a month or two with proper measurements on level ground after it has a chance to settle. So about total 1.5" lift up front with 265/75/16s and 0.5" in the back so far.

Also, Hitachi's are larger diameter shocks than Bilsteins for what thats worth, however seems like the welds are smaller on the blue ones. Mine were the same.

    Lift Phase 2 - 2016 TRD OR shock and coils - 08-01-16

The drive to NTB for an alignment wasn't too far but I could already feel a difference with the progressive coils.

Got there and it was packed so I found the last spot way in the back corner.

    Next to a stock Sequoia.

They got it on the lift pretty quick, have never waited more than 30 minutes at this place.

Gave me an extra inch of lift up front on top of the 4inches I got from the Maxtracs and soaks up bumps better than my SR5 coil and shock did.

Did you replace the leafs in the rear? Where did that half inch come from?

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
265/75/16 tires vs stock 265/65/17. Sumo's will be installed soon.

I have recall 4 leaf pack that replaced stock (in Canada) 4 leaf pack. With recall pack I actually lost 1/4" of height or so compared to 10 year old original leaf pack.

So the front lift netted you less than 1 inch without tires?

1" larger tires will give 0.5" lift. I put those tires on 4 years ago. This week I got 3rd gen coilovers and rear shocks. It raised the front end a hair over 1".

Ok thank you. I just wanted to make sure I understood your numbers! Thanks for the reply.

Sunday we are doing mine. I am adding 1.5 spacer and 1.5 aal. Hopefully 2.5 up front and 1.5/2 out the rear.
