I've recently purchased a 3" Bilstein/OME lift combo with rear 1.5" Deaver springs.

My next step in the build is to purchase a new wheel/tire set-up. So far I've been looking at either 17" or 18" wheels with a -12 or -24 offset.

My question is: how big can I go without rubbing or major trimming with the 3" lift? I don't want to do a CMC or a lot of additional work. I'm not opposed to removing factory mud flaps.

Does anyone have experience with tire sizes on 3" lifts and -12 or -24 offsets?

Ideally, I'd like to run something along the lines of 285/70R17 or 285/65R18. Most likely I will end up choosing a wheel with -12 offset. I do not want to run wheel spacers, although I am currently doing so on my stock set-up.

Any advice or personal experience would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There are a lot of people running this set up. Just do the research and you will find your answer. you should be clear with 285s running on 887s with billies at 0. Worst case scenario you will just have to take the flaps off maybe a tiny bit of trimming

I saw it both ways from the research I've done. Typically I like to error on the side of caution. I'm thinking I'll be buying everything in a week or two when I get my bonus/raise.

    Love the engine cover btw.

I will be running the exact set up once I get the money. You will need aftermarket UCAs to get alignment in spec also. And you might want to look into 2"-2 1/2 AALs.

Thanks! I have a write up on the engine cover if you ever want to do it yourself

I'm definitely going to check out your write up. That seems like easy work that makes a big visual difference. I have the UCA's already. After a long debate, I went with the LR UCA's (saved a little money too).

No issues with the heat on the engine cover?

@HeadStrong Off-Road sold me on the Deaver AALs. I figure I can add a block later if needed. They were awesome to work with.

I just need to figure out tires and wheels.

I was a little skeptical about the heat as well but if you look under your cover its actually insulated. So far the paint is holding up well. But I would just read my write up and look how to do it efficiently. Ya I was going to purchase them from HS as well. But it's like I have to get the wheels/tires/ and lift at the same time because one doesn't work without the other! That's gonna cost me like 3 grand... Fukin crazy expensive haha. So I have a little time before I can do it
