I'd gladly own a '19 DCSB OR with a 6-speed manual in Cement. I would have to replace that grill with a Pro version and the wheels with some Sema 4Runner rims in grey.

But it doesn't make any logical sense for me to do that

I don't like the oversize front end, looks good just toooo long and tooo big not in proportion to the rest of the truck. Trying to hide the wimpy engine. The engine is OK if you're going for a overland build and going for slightly better mpg.
The inside is great, I love the dash...

The rest is the same truck, slightly quieter, slightly better frame ect.....

I bought my 2nd Gen when the 3rd Gen's were coming out. I felt like the third gen looked nice minus the tailgate I wasn't big on the big embossed TACOMA. Ultimately, I didn't want to buy a first model year vehicle. The other thing was color choice. I like maroon vehicles the best. The Tacoma didn't offer that just Barcelona which is what I would get on a 3rd Gen. The first time I saw a Pyrite Tacoma I said I'm buying one of those one day... Quicksand is not my style at all all though some people can rock them and customize them to look really cool!

Personally I find the exterior of the 2nd Gens to be better looking but the interior nicer obviously in the 3rd Gen. I preferred the drivetrain and feel of the 2nd Gen however if something happened to my 2nd Gen, the 3rd Gen. would definitely be the first truck I'd go look at to replace my truck.

I totally agree with you. I have a 2018 TRD Off Road as a loaner. My truck is a 2007 TRD Sport and the 2018 transmission is bad. I do like the power slide though, lol.

I like the third gens. I wouldn’t buy one, but that’s mostly for financial reasons, nothing more. I’ve got a few more payments on my second gen and it’s all mine. There’s not a truck on the market right now that will convince me to take on more debt.

I use the rear window all the time personally. But i would have to agree about that grille...
Otherwise I like the styling of the 3rd gen
