I was a bit worried about the kick out being a bit too much, specially seeing them laying on the ground, but after installed, it really makes for a nice step in back.

And ya, I agree. Its time for a moab test, or at least some rock crawling somewhere. I also got my Bud built skid plate (been running with out a skid plate of any kind for a while), so now I'll be all sorts of protected.

I really need to replace my tie rods and axles before that though. (tie rods are rusted more than I'm comfortable, and it seems my drivers axle has been leaking a bit for the past few weeks).

I agree, let's put a date on the calendar and go. I'm really thinking we need to do a fall trip. Nothing over the top requiring tons of planning.

I'd be game for a pre-run of moab. Maybe something small to try out a few trails for the larger event to come. Maybe drive down on a friday evening and leave on a sunday evening so no one has to worry about vacation time from work.

I think Shawn would know better than most of us of what will work though, as I think he's probably the only one with any experience there.

Fri - sun would be good in a small group. Like 5-8 tacos you can get through trails pretty quick. If we go up a friday morn we can get settled.. go on a couple easy runs grab some dinner or make some whatever works... than sat we would have all day to do trails.. most are only 1/2-1hr trails.. then come back sun afternoon...so a weekend run is very possible.. in may we can organize a possible larger run for alot of members.. but this would give everyone a chance to get a taste of moab.

Well, I do have to admit that if for no other reason than for pics, the Facebook idea was great. Browsing through the pics in the group is just so much easier.

I couldn't figure out a way to make groups for images in the photo section, which is going to drive me crazy if all events are just grouped into the global photo section. Can we maybe create events and put the photos under the event itself?

Edit: nm. Thats not very easy to do either since you can only do one photo at a time. :/

I deleted my facebook account earlier this year and have no plans on going back. So I hope that we'll keep pix and discussion here.

It was pretty sweet. The lake was crystal clear and at about 8,500 feet. I cant wait to get back up there with the tube and relax away from the heat in valley.

I didn't feel like getting too wet either. It was just nice being surrounded by cool water.

Moab is a lot of fun keep me posted on that... Wife is getting induced tomorrow at 7:00am so i'll have my new baby boy! woohoo!!
For those who haven't been to Moab or might be a little uneasy about it, don't get me wrong, Moab has some crazy trails and terrain, but you don't need a rock crawler or a winch to enjoy it, a stock Taco will do just fine!
Took the wife to Moab as part of our honeymoon, here's a few pics.

Arches National Park is VERY close to Moab, literally 10 minutes of driving if that... Great place to take the ladies
