That's what I really wanna do. Like a mod meet. There's a lot of mods I wanna do but I'm to chickenshit to do

 

Yeah we could try something like that but we would need a pretty descent place to do it at. Lots of room for parking and lots of tools.

 

Well how many people would be interested in doing this kind If meet?

 

I would be but there isnt any mods I want to do right now. I am all modded out for the time being but I would love to be there to help anyone.

 

What mods do you have in mind?

 

Same thing for me. Nothing I really need help with, but willing to lend a hand and maybe bring a few tools. Just dont have near enough room at my place for more than 1 other person.

If I knew how much of a pain the front suspension was going to be when I did it last weekend, I probably would've waited for some help. I'm sure it didn't help I was running a fever at the time though. Those upper ball joints were so rusted into the upper control arms, I ended up having to cut the ball joint in half. At least I didn't have to worry about saving the old parts.

 

I'd be down for a mod day. That would be fun. I've been renting out my house in Park City and the people renting it are moving out in November. As long as I don't rent it out again, we could do it there. There's room for around 10 trucks in the driveway and 2 in the garage. I'll let you all know what happens but that is a possible venue.

 

Personally, I want to do fogs anytime, black headlight mod, and put lights in my bed.

 

Not really sure the black headlight mod is doable at a meet since it requires painting and letting it dry before putting it back together.

I think someone will take care of you for the fogs mod this weekend.


What are your plans for bed lights? I'm kinda on the fence about what I want to do for that myself.

I was thinking I could do something like everyone else and just toss a couple fog lights in back and call it good, but then I saw a few people that put some led track lighting along the bed rail and although it wont put out as much light as fogs, they wont draw nearly as much power either. Maybe it looks a little too much like a street truck (similar to under lighting).

 

Dang Matt you have a house in Park City!?!?! You can fit 10 trucks in the driveway!?!?! Jeez, someone is a high roller here!!! Oh and I'll give you a hand with the FLM. I did it a while back but need to look at the write-up again to refresh my memory. I might even have all the stuff to do it.

 

As for the bed lights, I want to put some in the cubbies on either side of the bed as well as some reverse lights near the cab. This is kind of a tentative plan at the moment. I would like to do some more research first but it's an idea.

I think you're right about the LED light strips looking a little street rider/rice rocket style.

It's my dad's house technically but he lives in Cali so it would be my crash pad And when I say 10 trucks, I mean a tight squeeze. 5 trucks in the driveway would probably be more comfortable.
