Yea.. lots of wants.. would probably pick up a couple of things if I keep my truck.
    1. Mid Travel front COs (Icon or the new OME)
    2. Luka - Prinsu
    3. Lights
    4. Rear bumper

Just won't pull the trigger till I'm sure.. but... this just took up some of my expendable funds, and may keep eating (literally) out of house and home.. lol.. Boxer puppy. Just about 4.5 weeks old. Will pick her up at 8 weeks.. Got a camping buddy for all the other 4 legged TW members when we go up to Peacock.

this might be a dumb question, but what are the pros/cons of the plate bumper that everyone has, and the hybrid? is it the weight? protection? bad-assness? been on the fence for a while, but since I'm moving back to the Big Island at the end of the year, I gotta try get on the group buys while I can. hahaha

Mollie is gonna run the little girl over if she's not much bigger on our next trip up. :p

    I've got steel.

    Armor is the main function.

Yea.. I not picking her up till mid may, and even then, she won't be coming up this summer.. (oh crap.. I just realized, neither will I then, especially since the wife said she is "my" dog... lol.. )

Steel Plate - Heavy and solid
Steel Hy - Still solid, but save some weight as you just have tubing on the sides.
Aluminum Plate - Looks of the plate, and probably lighter than even the steel hy. (no need to worry about rust)

Overall though, I think it you hit something, any steel would hold up a lot better than aluminum any day...

I have aluminum plate.. not thinking about moose or deer, and not rock crawling..

    *I could be totally wrong...

I got the aluminum one. I wanted to cut some weight there. The steel version is twice as heavy. My steel IFS skid is a little heavier than my bumper. I figured I go steel on the under belly as it'll probably take more of a beating.

I got steel just in case I get in a fender bender, I didn't want to dent the aluminum. And it smoothed out the ride with my Icons.

Did the same with my Fox 2.0s.

Yeah, wouldn't want her getting something if her shots aren't done yet. :(

    had steel, then got aluminum.

mainly for weight savings as both are pretty strong.

I like that the aluminum will crumple before the steel will, so it would be a little more forgiving in an accident...and on the truck frame.

This one I don't have to hide :D someone rear ended me and I'm going to cash out on the claim and just live with the damage on my rear bumper for now. Can't really tell and no sense have the body shop replace them with OEM when I'm going to get new bumpers eventually. Im getting $2200 out of it. So part of it goes to my front bumper and the other part goes to the new house projects.

I'm not hiding this one but doesn't mean she not going be mad at the "obnoxious" bumper :p as she calls it.

Not really...the new aluminum bumper is $1200 base. Then add a hoop and PC. And I already want all the lights and a winch. Plus shipping. And, I need to put at least $1000 into remodeling. So, I might need to go work the corner a few more nights a week.

LOL...Oh I get it now! I'm going to live with them for a little while too. The thought of being able to get me a bumper has me thinking of nothing else.

You can't really see it from pics. You can barely tell unless I pointed it out. But I took it to a shop here in Kailua that I had do my wife's rear bumper and they marked everything down. They even included the tow hitch install from the factory. :p The tow hitch is what save me from more damage. And the prices on the estimate didn't include the typical 25% shop markup. So what you see is the price the shop pays for the parts. Hows that tow hitch price though!
