I like how everyone keeps saying that 90% of the people don't drive stick.

I have to really think of my friends, family and coworkers to come up with a few that don't know how. Almost none of these people are car enthusiasts.

I guess most people drove beater/first cars at some point in their lives that were stick even if they drive an auto now..

    Anyway...:cookiemonster:

Love my 13' AC 6 speed, i like it even more with the 33's on it, with stock tires it was a little overgeared. Also loved my 10' 4 banger 5 speed, would still be driving it if it didnt get wrecked. I love driving stick, i love it even more after driving a POS s10 blazer auto for work every day :puke::puke:

I had no choice, i wanted a trd access cab and the only one on the lot was a manual. I haven't found another way to drive yet.

You've earned the right to drive an automatic without anyone giving you shit for it. My work truck only has a 10 speed manual, so I'm not tired of shifting in my personal truck yet.

Well I had to order my tacoma to be built because on the east coast from Maryland to Maine (this was 8 days ago) there were no spruce mica double cabs of any package with the V6, tow pkg & most important The Manual Transmission!!!

    Your preference, your choice.

You know who you are and why. That's all that should matter!

I wasn't even interested in test driving an automatic. While I'm sure they do fine, I'm a 3-pedal guy.

Jimmy...the salesman, has explained to me that my newly built Tacoma will be here in CT on/about March 20th. It hops a train to Newark from San Antonio, then a truck to CT.

    Two Weeks of travel!?!? UGH!!!

I just realized I miss blowing donuts in my old TRD and fear I possibly didn't do enough.

I also searched for a while before finding my black 13 Tacoma double cab in a 6 speed manual. The only complaint I have is around 7,000 miles on it the clutch pedal started squeaking really bad. Took it to the dealership for its 10,000 mile maintenance told them about it and I believe they changed out the Master clutch cylinder or something like that. Since then It has been just fine, I have been very happy with my choice so far.

I had to wait 6 weeks for Toyota to build my 2013 double cab, super white, off road, 6 speed. Well worth the wait. They told me it was only the 2nd like it built at the time.

I agree, Tacoma is worth the wait. I don't know how many are out there like mine, but when I ordered her there were none from Maryland to Maine.
    Its AWESOME

    I cant wait!

I had a 2000TRD and her clutch squeeked when it rained or was moist.

I read here in TW that there is a plastic bushing or something that is the cause of the squeek. It binds up or something...its in all manuals I read.

    Go Yota!!!

Perfect! Why not have them so something while its still under warranty...I would and will too if needed.
I honestly thought the clutch squeek was isolated to me and my 1st Tacoma...but after joining up here, I see I was not so special after all.

The only reason I will move on from this newest Tacoma will be for another!!!

    Cant Wait!

My 97 clutch squeaked for 280,000 miles I got used to it. My 2011 did for 20K miles and hasn't made a sound since.

Ya I liked the statement pertaining the only time you have to drive an automatic.

I am in the same boat only its a CRV.

I am dying here! Toyota took my frame rotted 2000TRD off the road December 16th 2013. I had a, Toyota rented, 2013 F150 crew cab from then till January 17th...and we have been on the one car family list far to long. I find myself reaching for a clutch that isn't there and a shifter than doesn't understand what I am trying to make it do.
I find myself manually shifting my wife's automatic...but not with her in it, hell no! Ignorance is bliss, and what she doesn't know wont hurt her...besides you all know; A happy wife is a happy life. Or Just DONT Get Married :)

I just want my new Tacoma!

^I know what you mean man. When I drive my wifes 4runner, I stomp the floor and hit the parking brake. grab at the shifter. Get startled when the transmission suddenly shifts on its own. I hate cruise because it will down shift and floor it.
