A squeaky driveshaft was replaced today. Ungreasable ujoints were noisy and I was shocked that the entire driveshaft (propellor assembly) was replaced. Only 86 miles left on the 3/36K warranty, so if it is going to break, let it happen now! Dealer has been good about resolving my issues quickly and providing a loaner. I can get use to the Prius loaner fuel efficiency!

technically speaking, I believe your issue is covered under the Powertrain Warranty, which is 6/60,000... but yeah, I get your point.

OP should verify with his dealer for peace of mind.

I am retired and all of these miles are fun miles driving around and going places.

A couple of weeks ago at a breakfast place my spouse said that she always wanted to visit Santa Fe, NM, so we left from the breakfast place and drove 12 hrs. to Santa Fe. We bought clothes and supplies for a few days when we got there. Ad hoc trips are the best.

My 8 month old Land Cruiser also has 20K miles on the clock.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Mannys is trying for the 1 million mile club and at this rate he just might do it. I'm a light weight with only 129,000

405K miles in 4 years on a previous gen2 Tacoma. Also, the gen2 never needed additional transmission fluid.

No extended warranties for me on any vehicle. I will keep the $2K fee in my pocket. This has been my strategy over the 30+ new cars I have owned over the years and I am way ahead so far.

It is all good! Started planning for retirement when I got out of graduate school in my mid twenties and it is all paying off now.

BKill - 18 months will be here in nothing flat. Retirement is great.

Dunkindonuts - plan and save for your retirement while you are young. Saving something is better than saving nothing. Good luck.

+1, never buy one on anything. I could pay cash for a Tacoma with the money I have saved by adhering to that policy. If I think I need to buy an extended warranty then I ask myself if I really should be buying that product.
