hey guys, i was just checking on some prices for an aftermarket head for my 2.7 3RZ and its ridiculous compared to the 20RE and 22RE engines! I mean it's like a 1000 dollar price difference between them and i cant understand why performance parts for the 2RZ and 3RZ are so expensive compared to everything else. Does anyone know why this is?

Why would you buy a complete head? Just get a port and polish (locally)and maybe a cam for like 1/4 the price of a LC engineering head

Well they had made alot more 20R and 22R heads compared to the 2rz and 3rz.

I know the fact the prices are so high keeps me away from upgrades

thats true, i guess i would just like a stronger valve train to hold more RPM's cause i would like to get it up to around 6,500 rpms, but i have also been told the stock springs can hold 7 grand. i have a little bit of money to work with, and found a 3rz motor out of a totaled 99 tacoma that i want to fool around with. Might possibly be working on a project to put it into an old celica GT-S for my cousin, but idk yet.
