    Hi,
    New member.

Recently had a misfire on cyl 4 on my trusty 2001 Tacoma work truck at 245,000 miles. It was the injector. I bought four new ones on Amazon for $46. What a disaster. White smoke - one injector was open. Then tried three new and one original and it ran terribly. So I cleaned my originals with brake parts cleaner and a 9V battery and put them back in. Three have cracked housings but it runs okay. Finally got 4 new ones (rebuilds) from NAPA for $400 and that was a waste of time too. One was dead and it ran rough on the other three. Cleaned the originals again and it runs okay.

Can someone recommend fuel injectors besides the OEM ones from the Toyota dealer, who quoted $290 each?

Or can mine be rebuilt, even though the plastic housing is cracked?

These are good folks to buy from, they test everything before sending them out

    Thanks!
Do you think my original ones will perform just fine since I cleaned them or are they unreliable now?

I try to err on the side of caution when it comes to pressurized fuel in the engine bay. Will they likely be fine for a while, yeah probably, but who knows when heat and vibration will cause the crack to enlarge and start leaking or worse, spraying fuel. If it were me, I'd change em out.

Thanks. I just looked at their site but don’t see injectors for the 2001-2004 2.4L. I think they are different than the 95-00 years.

Another one for Motor West. I had a small misfire, then it really started misfiring, then one injector completely died.

Motor West took my old injectors, cleaned them up and flow tested them - and sold me a fixed up OEM injector to replace the one that completely died.

My 3rz runs amazingly well now.

That is a great price and quick turnaround.

MotorWest is awesome, so is yotashop, and so is fiveomotorsport.

If you already know that your original injectors have some problems, expect to replace them outright rather than have them serviced and returned. Good shops won't work on parts that can't be salvaged. You won't go wrong getting injectors from the sources previously mentioned. Sorry you had to wade through the fake Amazon and low quality parts.

I ordered these although the part # on the original pink Aisan injectors is 23250 75080… the reviews and Q&As indicate they fit on a 2002 2RZ so should be okay.
$540 CDN with shipping. Ouch. I hope they will be good. I’ll report back after installing.

    Thanks.

IMG_8775.jpg Got the new fuel injectors from FiveO Motorsport . UPS added their surprise fee, of course ($67), so was about $650 CDN in total. Still half the price of four from the Toyota dealership.
I installed them and it was a success. Accelerates so smoothly now and the idle is better too. A noticeable increase in power (when you only have about 120 hp at the wheels it is easy to notice even a 2hp increase - lol)

Thanks for all the advice and the recommendation of FiveO Motorsport. Fast shipping from Oregon and excellent product.
Photo shows the new blue ones. You can see the cracks in the housings of the originals.
