What are you guys getting mpg wise on your 2rz's. Mine is only getting 210miles on a tank which seems horrible. What could be causing it to get this horrible gas mileage?

Doesn't sound all that abnormal to me... I usually get 220-240 at best. I drive all city and pull a trailer for most of it.

hmm me and you have the same year and i believe engine size except i have a camper shell

ive been checking out my next tires to be low rolling resistant but thats a future thing i have to look into says 7% better gas

other than that my truck has about 291k miles and everythings pretty stock regular maintenance is all i do and some mods but im pretty sure u know that

u can check out my fuelly profile for my fillups and info maybe u can make your own and see how its compared to others (http://www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/tacoma/2000)

oh btw big fan of your mods i plan on trying to do some in time gl on your search for better gas mileage

    \edit
oh ya this is my second toyota pickup i used to have a 1990 manual single cab 22-re @280k and i believe it got a bit more has mileage prolly cause of manual maybe 26mpg or so and it was light as hell also back then didnt have fuelly to actually see my milage heh

on both my trucks i dont do much hauling except the natual gardening work from time to time and helping people move from home to home sometimes

    anyways just my input

    \edit

    \edit2
oh ya 1 other thing i forgot is i just replaced my fuel filter this month dunno if it will have a impact will have to see in the upcoming gas fillups i bought it and tried to install it myself but it was a in such a spot that i couldnt install so i had my cousins shop install it he said usually the filters can go through 50 pounds of pressure and mine was only at 2 pounds so he said it was just about plugged (chitty gas heh) only cost me like 15 bucks or so maybe you should look into it

i just filled mine up today and put in 12.481 gallons (very empty) and got 246.6 miles that omes out to 19.76 mpg... thats by far the worst i have gotten in my truck im typically at 23-25mpg, i didnt think i was driving it too hard, i actually thought i was driving it easier.. but my daily drive is very hard.. im gunna start with an air filter then next payday a tune up. BTW i have an extra cab five speed with a header exhaust and a deck plate.

I haven't payed much attention to mine, it doesn't seem awful. Keep in mind that if you're running taller or shorter tires that that's gonna throw off the odo a lil bit.

Think I need to kill my cats. I keep getting a cel for p0420 and ive replaced everythings but the cats. I think that may be why i get shitty gasmileage. Also my tires are a wee bit smaller than stock I do belive. Oh and thanks dude for the compliments on the truck I really do appreciate it and hope it lasts as long as yours.

oh hey i was meaning to ask since you i have the same hid kit as you ddm 6k

do you ever have a problem where only one of the lights will kick on after releasing the emergency brakes (it happens either left or right side one will turn on so i know its not a product problem maybe power problem)

it happens once in a great while and if i flick my high beams on and off the it returns to normal

not really a problem but was wondering if it happens to you

i changed my fuse as per the instructions from 10 to 20

might take a video next time it happens kinda hard to explain

I get around 240-250 with Chevron gas. Mostly highway driving. Best I ever got was around 280.

Now that I think about it on one road trip I got about 270 (I believe it came out to 23 mpg) This was using cruise and I realized at about the end that cruise had my throttle about wide open the whole time. I think I might have a chance at touching my sticker-rated 27 mpg on a good day.

Guy before me put cold air intake? Wish it was factory.
Been getting 30-33 mpg. Thats around city. Curious what itll be on highway. I'm also wondering if i get a camper shell how it would effect the milage.

 how do you calculate it?

I used to get around 29 in my old '90 2wd GMC sonoma 2.5L 5 speed.
