Whats the best muffler for my 96 2rz? Just had a magnaflow, or knock off magnaflow installed. Sounds decent for a 4 cyl but was louder than I wanted, drones @ 2k rpm, annoying. Looking for something that flows better than stock, a bit more noise is OK but no drone, I hate hearing droning in the cab.

Quick research brings up the Dynomax super turbo? Its supposed to be pretty quiet/no drone but good flow. Thoughts?

I have a Gibson muffler that was intended for a v6. Ive had it on my 2rz and 3rz. Sounds good. Little throaty under load, Sounds mean wide open. But quites down in 5th or in town when driving 30.

Mine sound pretty good down low, but the drone @ 2k as you progress through the gears gets louder. With 5th @ 55mph (@2000rpm) being pretty annoying. Or 4th @ 40-45. Once you get above 2250 rpm its fine, zero drone on the highway. Its just those in town and backroad speeds have that drone. I understand an aftermarket muffler will be noisier, but I hate droning.

    Tasteful modifications :)
Check out dynomax mufflers. I have a ultra flow one and it doesn’t drone at all surprisingly.

I've just got the stock cast manifold, lol. Basically everything is stock, I just want something that doesent drone. Heard good things about the glasspack, idk can't be much louder than what I have on it. I think I have a magnaflow knockoff.

Yes, ive been looking at Dynomax. What model do you recommend?
