Haven't been an active forum member on any site for over a decade. Saw that there are some nice builds here that have been uploaded recently so decided to join. Been building and daily driving a 95 single cab for the last few years after pulling it from a yard out in the woods in 2021. Previous owner hit a deer at 50 mph and parked it, and I basically got it for free. Put a radiator in it, jump started it, and drove it 20 miles home! When I found out that the 2RZ blocks have forged cranks and hold lots of power, I started researching turbo builds and kits. I went with a KO Racing kit, Link standalone ecu, and have been in the middle of some remote tuning to get it dialed in for now before I get some Paradise 650cc injectors and a new pump. I'll upload a few photos from the day I got it, and some current ones of where it's at now, and then update the build from there!

A more recent photo of where it sits now and the plug n play Link G4X setup. Any other guys here running Link setups? I'm learning PC Link software, and have so far learned how to add and configure sensors, and started some date logging so that remote tuning will be a bit easier as well.

Lol, I had gotten a new Yoshimura muffler for my Kawasaki and said what the heck, I'll throw the old SC Project can on the Toyota. I've since then built a stainless 2.5" exhaust with a tiny tiny resonator exiting in the same place.Screenshot_20250307_165618_Photos.jpg

Badass dude, love to see more turbo builds on here! LinkECU is on my list to play with one of these days too!

Got the ecu configured and met up with Kris from KO Racing yesterday to go through the data logs and get some street tuning done. It's idling smooth as butter, and running great! Scored an intercooler at the Portland swap meet as well so now I need to get my spare intake mani sent off to get a forward facing throttle body one made. Next steps are injectors, intercooler, fuel pump, and to make sure it's 100% ready to go on the dyno. My goal is about 270 whp for now, and 300 once the 4 link is done. Was nice to get out and cruise with it running better now!

Also, if anyone is interested, I might start making some more decals. So far I've got a couple designs for TOYOTA tailgate decals, made a replica MR2 turbo decal, and some Hilux decals to replace the chrome door badges.

Link has been absolutely awesome, and you're local to KO Racing as well, I see. I'm new to all of this but enjoyed learning how to use PC Link and everything Kris has taught me so far! What ecu and software do you usually prefer?

My buddy and I are Haltech guys but we pretty much like any platform that isn't Holley haha. Kris is a good dude too. We've inquired about renting his Dyno a couple times
