No worries man, it's all relative.

On that note, I found the purchase info on mine. It was $235 shipped from tda_motorsports on eBay. He has it listed as "best offer", and accepted my $235 without hesitation. I would try a little cheaper if you go with him, he may take it.

It didn't state my model year either, but it fit. It only has 1 mounting location excluding where it actually connects to the intake, so it's pretty universal.

That can't be any more straight forward. Hmm. Andy's said they checked with Injen and they said no go on 14s. I think for the money I'll pass for now. Thanks for the info though.

No worries. They probably just don't want to steer you wrong being a business and all. I second guessed it also, but after reading Tooters thread and seeing there was only one mount, I chanced it. According to wikipedia, the engine was unchanged from 2004-2014. And in 2015, changed from VVT-i to dual VVT-i.

Block should be unchanged, just head changed- variable valve on intake and now exhaust side too

Do you think that would affect the intake? Probably not if they only added the variable valves on the exhaust side I would think?

Compare the intake p/n between the two years; if its the same you're gtg

edit: actually, compare the seal o-ring thingy

I would check intake p/n. They could use the same pattern at the head to cut cost, but a completely different shaped intake between head and throttle body

Ok look guys I'm proof that w/e was changed the injen intake & lce headers cause no problems & everything fits. Been running both for 30k miles & have 55k on my truck. The shit works stop coming up w/ excuses not to buy them. If you want to improve your 2.7 spend some $ or quit complaining! It works by lowering the torque range. The 2.7 is a quik motor if you know how to drive a manual. :D

Hell I can't even use the intake, my truck wouldn't last 1 hog hunt without that snorkel.

both - I know the dyno is posted on the other thread, but how can we be so sure it will be exact.... I mean screw it, add me to the list.

    mhm

It should be dynod. Especially if that much money is being raised - we could all split the dyno cost and have real performance results for the product

    EXACTLY, the same?

Sounds delicious like sid vicious in a bowl of jello

Dude, we’re trying to lower peak torque by 250 rpms in cheap trucks not compete with space x. Easily worth $250. I don’t need a dyno.

I know what you're saying, but trust me, these will bring the same results. Like bijick stated, this is just a simple part. As long as it's 2" and matches the intake, it should be very similar results. If I made a 3" spacer, it would lower the torque by 375 rpm theoretically. A 1" spacer, 125 rpm. I purchased an actual 2.7 intake for the spacer design. A certified drawing was made of that OEM part (that is the footprint of the spacer). And a CNC program was made from that drawing. These should be legit. Obviously if they are not up to my expectations, I will have the issues worked out prior to mass production. The spacer shape should match the intake perfectly. I have considered having my truck dyno'ed at some point after the spacer install, in hopes of confirming some other possible mods in the future. But I don't have any concrete plans right now.
