I have had this experience as well, stalling out on super steep climbs that are too steep for the truck to climb and I start sliding back or start spinning the tires then stall out.

It gets really pissed when I stall and creep backwards a bit in a forward gear, thus forcing the engine to rotate in the wrong direction. I've done that a couple times and it was real cranky for a minute or two.

As long as nobody is reporting any serious issues with this it doesn't bother me. No codes and it always seems to go back to normal. A reason would be nice for my satisfaction but oh well.

These drive by wire systems can be wonky.sometimes. Mine has idle issues after descending mountains in WV and VA when keeping the gearing in 3rd or 4th for miles downhill. Also have issues with high revs between shifts, but it all goes away after driving normally for a bit, or after shutting the engine down for a few minutes.

Edit- I have no idea why everything is underlined.

Do you ever notice sometimes when driving along in 4 low in 3rd or 4th gear on mostly flat ground that it feel like the truck closed the throttle slightly on you without you moving your foot? I swear it does this all the time, feels like I lifted my foot slightly but I know I didn't.

Gonna throw this back to the top just for the hell of it. My truck still does this. Not really any change except it's now stalled once on me before going back to normal behavior.

It's not like it only does it *while* I'm descending. Descending triggers it, and it will continue to act this way for several miles following, even if those are normal and level miles in 2HI.
