I found a fix & it’s coming through the pipeline but it is still in the finishing stages of development. The supercharger unit itself has been proven and many OE manufactures use it! You asked for alternatives didn’t you?

No baseline is done. The photo is tuning this but it’s not ready for prime time yet. And truthfully they are still making adjustments. The vendor really didn’t want to say anything but I thought I would let you guys get a sneak peek of what’s hopefully coming. Please do NOT contact the vendor because they won’t have anything to say. They do NOT want to release anything until it’s proven and ready to sell to the general public. They do not build something then let Joe Public be the guinea pigs like some others do. Again PLEASE do not contact the vendor as it’s not ready or available yet. I volunteer our newly acquired unmolested 07 for the test mule because I wanted to get from under URD. After I get the 07 back the plains as of now is to install another system on our 15. I was looking VERY hard at an LS swap but I’m thinking I may just stick with another supercharger system, this one. Plus I might just get in trouble with LS1 HP.
    2918243B-7E0D-4C35-921C-107D6FC4C1D7.jpg
    *EDIT*
Guys please know that this is a quote from the vendor in an email to me today 7-2-21.
“A tentative soft release date is 3-4 months out”.
Again guys the vendor is not going to release anything until they are comfortable with all the testing. I apologize & I know I jumped the gun but remember anything worth having is worth waiting for. This vendor is not URD, G has known for many years about the issue w/ Rotrex.
So save up your pennies so you are ready when they are ready…

Well more information that I shouldn’t disclose. HP is over 200 Torque is 248.7 w/ the bone stock exhaust system @ 111 w/ 20% humidity. I’m to drive it around for a while as is. I will then add the LCE header w/ 2.5” SS exhaust system w/ two Magnaflow’s, 5x8x14 to replace the second cat & a 5x11x22 to replace the stocker. Next go from 3.31 to 3.73 gear. I will then go back to the Dyno on my own dime…

Again guys Please don’t contact the vendor because I’m working directly w/ the GM and many of the other employees know very little about what’s going on. Plus it’s the manufacture that’s back ordered on the supercharger itself. The vendor is using the same supercharger on other systems they offer and was told they have around 20 units (sorry my short term memory is crap nowadays) on back order right now… So I’m pretty sure that’s one reason it’s slow coming to market.

Perfect day for a dyno. ;) When setting up systems to run well in worst case scenarios.

Quite curious for the coming updates. Should feel quite a bit stronger. I'd really like to see either the dyno, or the dynos compared. To see where that torque comes in.

I decided to change the title of the thread because (1) I'm no longer looking for a Rotrex alternative and (2) I wanted Hayrider (and others, when the system becomes available) to be able to post updates. The new title seemed a better fit, and I'm hoping to update as time progresses and hope others will do the same.

Anyhow, 1000+miles of daily driving and so far so good. I have added a temperature gauge to the traction oil line to keep tabs on it as well as an electric fan to the oil cooler as a good percentage of my driving is in the city as well as stop and go rush hour traffic. A cheap little add, if for nothing else than my own peace of mind. We'll see what the data over time shows.

As of 7-12-21 the truck is still at the tuner. They found something they didn’t like when test driving on the street.

*Edit* @ 4:20 on 7-12-21 I just got a call telling to come and pick up the truck. With rush hour I wouldn’t get there before they close so tomorrow morning I will have it in my hands.
    :yay:
I called the Vendor after the call to tell him I can pick it up in the morning. We talked about a few things and he said he had a break down on the Retail price. Trust me guys if they are able to stick to the price you will be Pleasantly Surprised‼️

My apologies but I will leave posting a Dyno plot up to the vendor.

Well no need to change the title. I really did jump the gun about the new system but I really felt bad about the issue with Rotrex. This is just me but if my company was building systems and I knew of a problem like this I would stop sells until it was figured out. Sorry but URD has known about this for years and has done nothing about it. That’s what upsets me! I told and told the gentleman who purchased my Rotrex w/ approx. 2k miles to say on top of the oil and change it twice as often as recommended. I sent extra oil and a few extra oil filters. I also told him the fit wasn’t the best and some of the instructions were lacking.

Again the vendor can’t really push this system into production because it’s not tuned and or tested plus Magnuson is back ordered.

Truthfully the last Dyno run I saw was run #74 & hopefully they get it soon.

@12TRDTacoma did you ever get a datalog with your coil packs? Any noticeable improvements?

@JustDSM , have you tuned any trucks that have those coil packs?

I did get a datalog. If I remember right Justin made no changes to the tune with them. The only thing I noted was a smoother idle. They seem to pull the same across the board. Maybe a little more mid range. I'd have to check the email exchange between him and myself to see what exactly he said. I just don't remember when I did it.

I apologize but please read post #28 again.

Just curious has anyone seen a Dyno run with a stage 1 Rotrex.

I will say the Magnuson feels much more “linear” in the power delivery from the best I can tell with my out dated butt Dyno. The Rotrex was on our 15 with a LCE header, 2.5” exhaust w/ single cat & a gear swap. I originally changed the 15 2TR w/ a stick in steps.
#1 went from 26.8” to 28.6” rubber so that dictated a gear swap from 3.31 to 3.73. (Best bang for the buck) #2 the header & exhaust w/ 5x11x22 Magnaflow. #3 removed 2nd clean up cat and replaced it with 5x8x14 Magnaflow for sound  & helped giddy-up. #4 the Rotrex #5 Removed Rotrex. :D

The Magnuson is on our newly acquired 27k mile 07 2TR w/ stick & it’s 100% bone stock other than the supercharger. That’s what the vendor wanted. The Magnuson goes back to the tuner on 7-27-21 for more adjustment. It has a random flat spot approx 35-3700 RPMs that’s very sporadic & depending on throttle position. When everything is completed I will then do my other modifications. Again we don’t want any issues when the Magnuson is available. Guys I’m really saying a LOT more than I should but you can be assured it will definitely be worth it. As of now I was given a retail price, I was pleasantly surprised.
    :fingerscrossed:
