I'm trying to find this value for OBDLink on my smartphone. I can't seem to find this number anywhere, does anybody know what the volumetric efficiency for the stock intake on a 2010 Tacoma with the 2TR-FE is?

EDIT: I'm also wondering what would be most accurate for calculating fuel mileage: mass air flow rate, Intake manifold absolute pressure, or direct fuel rate?

I have the torque app and an OBDLink adapter and it does instant mpg. Calculates it all and has tons of features. Fuel flow rate, trim, sensor voltages, data logging, engine load, etc...
As far as average MPG I just do that every fill up.
Volumetric efficiency, well isn't that something that's pretty variable? I don't know much about it.

You mean what your mpg is at that exact moment? Or your average over the course of the tank?

like a scangauge and decent app will calibrate itself

    you fill up
    you go drive
    fill up again
app says how much it guessed you used, you tell it exactly how much

if you use same pump, parking position, time of day and outside temp on fillups
it will be extremely accurate after doing this 3 times

Dunno. Torque does it completely different. It calculates it based on Gallons consumed over a trip setting using gps and odometer readings. Also logs all other vehicle sensor data for whatever trips are saved.
I mostly just use instant mpg to monitor what my mileage could be at any given second to adjust my driving.
