I am just wondering about a turbo manifold setup for the 2tr. Is there a way to make the 3zr manifolds fit? I am not afraid to make my own manifold but I would prefer a kit or at least a manifold I can modify to make it work.

The 2tr has air injection in the exhaust manifold they're totally different exhaust port shapes unfortunately. The 3rz and the 2tr share the same bottom end but the head is entirely different.

Since you can weld, finding a relatively cheap 3rz manifold and cutting off its flange, then welding it to the 2TR flange may be an option. As long as the centerlines of the runners and ports line up. I've thought about this, but never had the chance to try.

I make them for the 2TR out of 321ss. However, you'd have to get with Hewitt tech to make the ecu happy.

Is Hewitt tech the only ones who make sai delete kits? Do I need the kit if I go with a stand alone

If you go standalone, you won't need it.

What’s a good affordable standalone with decent forums/instructions. I normally just tune the stock ecu

I am not sure if the 2TR is yet supported by HPTuners.

"Affordable" is relative. The best "affordable" standalone that I can recommend is the Haltech line.

No support for HPtuners and the 2TR yet unfortunately

Haltech elite 1500 and a boomslang plug-n-play harness is the route I’m going OP.

I'm sure the ECU is capable but I doubt there's enough interest to get a company to spend the time mapping all the memory addresses in the ECU into the HP tuners software.

Haltech is the way to go, support wise it is the strongest of the aftermarket ECUs.
