Forgot about that lol. I would still think it would gain 1" of lift. The spare tire shouldn't affect anything since it is there on a stock vehicle. I'm stumped lol.

Somethings wrong with the AAL or the OE leaf pack. Has to be, one of the two, maybe both are bad? Ride height/Lift is provided by the springs, so if I'm not getting lift, something is wrong with the springs...

Got .5" of lift on the D/S, nothing on the P/S.

Looking a little like Gerty, the build up version.

I adjusted down the front, cause it was honestly way, way high. Truck does appear to be sitting better, a little bro'd, but not as bad as it was. Ment to get a pic, didn't.

Have not driven very far on the new suspension, but far enough for a few comments at least....

Ride is no worse than stock, IMO. Rides pretty well, I honestly like the feel of the truck more now. Steering is a little stiffer (which I like). Not much of a chance to "test" things out, but I did run some local RR tracks that are pretty rough and it handled it very nicely. Tracks will bounce a car around good but the taco took it on well.

Looks good! I want to get an older pickup or 4runner some day, one with a solid front axle.

    Contact Icon yet? :p

    No. :(

I've been super busy with other crap but after getting the front down, things do look better, so I figured I'd ride it around and see how it sits in a week.

I do appear to have lift in the rear on both sides, and it's pretty even. Both rear fenders sit at 34.5, like the front. I keep takin' a level and putting it everwhere in/on the bed also, I keep getting pretty level readings, so....

How's it look to you in that pic? It's from today.

Yeah. That's good it did provide some lift. The plate bumper is probably weighing the rear end down? Maybe?:confused:

I think it looks good! You probably didn't need to lower it as much as you did based on the picture of your LCAs but it definitely looks good!

I had the front up to 35.5" when I first got it on, that would be 3.5", supposed to be a 2.5-3" kit. Once I got the front down to 2.5", everything is looking much better.

Have go hang and out shoot the shit here real soon. Sienna has a sleepover at my sisters house this weekend, might have to see if Rach will let me out to play Saturday night or something.

Ah okay. Probably good you lowered it then. Probably won't be able to do anything this weekend and I'll probably be at middle bass next weekend.

    - Picked up a "2" emblem, finally. Pick n' Pull freebie. Guy looked at me like I was retarded when that was all I threw up on the counter. Also found a cool hammer hatchet a few weeks back in Rach's dead GPa's old tools, want to mount it behind the seat after getting it cleaned up and sharpened. Kyle (kmok)had a shovel/hatchet last time we met up, it was pretty handy that day, mine is cooler cause it was free. (wife reading over shoulder making me feel really dumb.)

    - New CB antenna setup. 67" plain steel whip. Coupler thing for antenna to coax and a 9ft cable. Mount it up cleaner tomorrow, no more wires showing out the bottom of the 3rd brake.

I'm just going to BS around in here, like most things, I haven't really cliqued into a BS thread, tried but ehh.

Ohio folks especially, are more than invited and welcome to post. Think others are getting tired of me deleting build threads and their comments, but this one features a truck that doesn't totally look like a cheap hunk of shit, so not going anywhere for awhile.

Just hanging out trying to find things to pass the time until a weekend retreat to a cabin at Lake Hope at the end of the month. Have a nice driving route planned that should stick to smaller interstates.

I should switch that D/S AAL around and talk to ICON, back just doesn't look right to me. Putting it off, want to fuck with something different for a minute. Sometime this week though...Knocked out a couple wants with the Antenna stuff and emblem, move on to some totally new stuff soon. Want some Aux lights pretty bad, start with some in the rear.

Pics look good! Is that over at that spot you showed me awhile back?

My "hatchet" is more like a sharp shovel :p it's made by cold steel lol. Glad you took care of the wire hanging out of the 3rd brake light!

You should definitively keep this build thread, you should add to the thread when things change instead of deleting then creating a new thread. Just my 2 cents. :)

Hopefully you can get the rear suspension figured out soon.

Pics were taken back at the ol' hidey spot. Still a good hidey spot too!

Yeah, I know you have a shovel hatchet thing. Jeez . Just the usefulness of it lead to grabbing the hammer hatchet when I saw it. The ideas are kind of the same, the hatchet part anyway.

No more fuckin' wires hanging around the back window of my truck! I did try to call ICON like 10 minutes ago.

The 1st attempt failed, as the # the ICON rep posted in the thread was wrong...789...more like 689. Called the right number, spoke with a girl who said Brad (ICON Rep) was out for the day but in tomorrow.

My hatchet is a Stanley Handyman so....:p...and free!

Spoke with Brad @ ICON today....

Went pretty shitty all in all and I'm still scratching my head a bit.

...The AAL from ICON is not designed for the 5 lug according to Brad.

With that, I know of at least 2 other 5 lugs using the ICON AAL and neither one reported a problem, or unhappiness with the rear. Shemicals and Southerncalix951 are the other 5 lugs. Just talked with Shemicals a little bit and he said he never had an issue. Ok, he says his front is up but he maxed his shocks out, so,..??...???

Start back at Sq1 for now and turn the D/S AAL around and see what happens.

If that doesn't yield the wanted results I'll suppose I'll take the truck down to a recommended spring shop and have the AALs re-arched to get me where I need to be in the rear.

Sad, but not to sad. My pops very oddly offered to help me get fixed up whatever I needed to get fixed in the rear. Totally shocked me cause any time I've mentioned the lift he just rolls his eyes. More time and effort is all.

Well that's good he's willing to help you get this issue figured out! I'm worried that you may have to look into another means of lift ontop of the Icon AAL, maybe like ATO's shackle flip kit with longer shackles. Just throwing out ideas.

Re-arching the AALs is where I would probably go. My service writer knows a guy at a spring shop.
