Try and start working on this Wednesday.

    Tentative plan:
-Remove rear shocks and see how the truck sits just on the springs. Is it higher, lower, what happened with them off....

-Switch the D/S AAL around so the longer end points rearward.

-Again see how the truck sits the switched AAL and no shocks. Goal being that more than .5" of lift is generated in the rear.

-If that's a no go, then I'll end up taking the AALs off the truck and getting them re-arched.

-If I'm re-arching, makes me wonder what the max I could arch the springs is? It would be a chance to lift the truck up even higher, arch the springs enough to accommodate adjusting the front up even a bit more, 3, 3.5 inches maybe..

Tore the rear end apart again today, several times. Answering the indents I had in the post above...

All this on a 1 hour lunch break...(with minor prep work done during 2 smoke breaks.)

    - Nothing happened other than I saw my shocks still had several inches of downward travel left when I popped them off.

    - Switched the D/S AAL, only thing that I got was .5" lift on both sides, but at least it was pretty equal. The P/S had been a bit lower than the D/S, not even a full .5" on the P/S. They were both .5" after switching the AAL. Still not enough though.

    - Tore it back down again and removed the AALs from both sides. Had my sister pick up the AALs and take them over a place called "Frame and Spring". The service writer of my shop knows a guy @ F & S. They are going to re-arch the springs 2" for SPRING UNDER, guy sounded pretty confident about getting it done when I talked to him after he got the AALs. Should be done tomorrow. I hope to god this shit works and that I'm not a complete moron for doing this.

Co-worker let me borrow his old 4Runner for the evening and to get to work tomorrow, pretty awesome offer, pretty cool guy, one of those Boston DBs, accent is fuckin great. Married to a former Buffalo Bills cheerleader though.

This is how my baby sits in my work parking lot overnight. If anyone wants a little humor, I smashed myself in the face with that P/S drum when I let the last U-bolt nut go, it was an amazing time.

I've had this mini Toyota emblem sitting around in my stuff for awhile. Found it or someone gave it me. Thought it might look good dipped and placed opposite of the 2TRunner badge on the B.F. bumper.

Looks better to me. I had the same issue with the fat bob's long AAL. The rear was about an inch lower than the front. They sent me a smaller AAL to put in to give it another inch in the rear. That leveled it out pretty good, just a little stiff. Did the ride change after getting the ICON AAL rearched?

Hasn't seemed to effect the ride much at all. Have not felt any differences between the before and after re-arch. It's looks 300x's fucking better though.

The full MT set-up rides really well to me, it's better than stock IMHO. I have not had any vibe issues, I really like how it's firmed up the steering just a little bit as well.

Another Pick N Pull visit this morning, got some goodies. Starting to love that place.

-Grabbed a front Aux light off an old S10, got it apart. Get a new light and switch, mount it in the d/s bed pocket.

-Only Yota truck on the lot was a 94 4Runner. They raped it, took the front seats, front diff, all drive shafts, Tcase, rear pumpkin. I took the 4Runner and SR5 Badges, random bolts/screws, one of those gel holder things and some plastic door clips.

Cleaned up bed. No more wire through the 3rd brake or running along the rail. No more stupid tube-gate. I think I'm going to tint the brake lights here soon, would look good.

Thank you Sir!! A little biased, but the truck looks fucking killer.

It's amazing. Everything about it is literally better than stock. Steering firmed up a bit. When I have a suspension impact, no longer feels like the whole truck absorbs it, instead the suspension absorbs it. No vibes, no weird noises, My AAL re-arch seems to have worked.

When I've gone and "tested" the MT...where I can, I have loved it. Taken on some rough country RR tracks around 30ish, had it down to a little path by a local river. I'm dying to get out to a meet but looking forward to a 2 hr road trip next weekend.

Ry Ry said being lifted made him drive like a dick...yeah...I get it. :anonymous:
