Depends on how crazy you get or careless. I have been recovered a few times.

 

I’ll typically get stuck in sand at the desert about once a trip.

 

Yeah the sand sinks us. I've only been stuck once and that's because I pulled off to the side of the trail and didn't see the pile of sand. Instantly sunk. Anza Borrego

 

Every time I stop I get stuck. I just need to learn to stop on a downhill. Still haven't figured it out, lol

 

I got stuck twice in the same area in hungry valley trying to turn around in the sand.

Shoulder update:
It's a little better. I can at least touch it without pain. Moving my left arm still only works below the elbow. Engaging the arm/shoulder in any movement results in excruciating pain. Will see how this week goes before i start scheduling a MRI.

Yes i did . Pretty sure the rotator cuff is trashed and a couple of nerves are pinched. good times.
