Anybody driven Upper Lytle Creek trail before? Looks like it would be fun if it isn't closed

I cant recall anyone posting going there. I would call the ranger station and ask. I know @Tacoma boy was up in that general area a little more than a year ago. I am sure rains and fire have taken its toll.

Good idea, just been itching to get some dirt lately without driving too far. Gotta get a run together soon when everyone is ready:dancingbacon:

Not to mention there's some snow up in big bear. At least get some slush on the offroad trails. Unfortunately I'll be helping a friend install some suspension gear.

Nah, how was it? I've only done Cleghorn and the crossover trail in Ocotillo Wells since moving back to California

Clark's grade is a easy 2wd fire road.
Have done it 3 times starting from 7 oaks.
Only one turn is usually pretty rutted and if you don't carry enough momentum you can get stuck.

It’s a pretty rad trail. Like 17? Miles. Theirs a couple miles of fairly gnarly embedded rocks and one little hillclimb. Would be pretty sketch right now as it would be all muddy and theirs sections with big drop offs. And sections where it looked like it was a mud bog when it was wet.

I’ve been on quite a few trails in the san berdoo mountains and around silver wood lakes.

Thinking about exploring in the desert. Might go back to the black mountains and go to inscription canyon.

Get the app “alltrails” that’s what I use to find stuff close to me. It’s pretty cool.
