Hey guys! I know it's been a bit since I've been active, just got home a couple days ago and it's yet again another work on the truck day. This is the second time I've dried to diagnose the problem with my truck and now I've exhausted my options. Therefore, before being sucked in to the ever so strenuous process of a dealership, I come to you. Here's the deal:

Last month on our trip in Ramona, my truck was throwing a P0304 code ( thanks to @JaCado ) I did my research and saw that it was possibly the spark plugs, spark plug wires, or the fuel injector. Being that my truck had just been serviced, I know the spark plugs are new as of this year, I talked to the family mechanic who did them for me. Therefore my only other option was the wires or the injector. I checked the wires, all good. That leaves the injector. With not much time before I went underway, my wife needed a vehicle. Because of that, I forked out $125 on a new fuel injector and replaced it. Got it all put back together, now I have a STRONG fuel leak somewhere and my truck still studders and vibrates when reaching about 2 and a half RPMS or about 45 mph. I've since then today, taken the truck BACK apart to check and make sure the fuel rail is secured, the injector is in correctly and all is right. In addition, I tested the old fuel injector with a multimeter and it read fine. Yes yes I know I wasted $125 but time wasn't on my side and I needed a vehicle. Now more than ever I need to get this fixed. It's either someone on here has more knowledge and better ideas than me, or I'm forced to bring it to the dealership and just suffer through. I'd rather have a working truck, money I'll eventually replace, this truck is what I can't afford to replace.

    Thank you guys!

PS: It's not the gaskets either, those are brand new as well.

I've been reading that they can't keep your truck....or they have you sign a waiver? :notsure:

Will they give you a loner truck? You can off-road their truck.

Tell them you need a truck for work.

My baja 07 was a great truck as well. This one has a lot to live up to. 10 years that truck was bullet proof. Even went 4 years with oil change and still ran. A little transmission fluid in there cleaned it out and a oil change and she was still hauling ass!

If you take your truck and you crash its not their fault or if you damage the rear diff its not their fault.

Exactly my point. I will not be blamed for faulty equipment. So if they want it, they need to compensate in some way. Rental plus make the monthly payment would be nice or since they are down there taking it apart anyways, throw a locker in there.

I read some guy saying they had the solution this week already. But it may be in a different state, not sure if that matters.

Repair will take at least 3 days for the diff from my previous experience with Toyota on the issue. My 2nd Gen leaked too, the kept it 3 days under warranty. No rental until I bitched like hell. Then I complained to Toyota when I received a 15 thousand dollar corolla in trad for my 30 thousand dollar truck.

Damn. Sounds like a hungry bear. Why couldn't it have messed up during winter. That would have been ideal LOL.
