    uhh...everything? lol
incase you didnt know, BFG a/ts are just about the worse tire ever. For any terrain.

at any rate, getting stuck is just part of it. You shouldnt be afraid to get stuck in the sand, its the best terrain to get stuck in. No body damage no mud clean up etc. Just go out and enjoy yourself. Getting stuck is not an embarassment, it happens to EVERYONE. Trust me, EVERYONE.

I know you guys hate them atleast 4 of you do, but I have been mudding, Galveston Beach, Crystal Beach, rock crawling in Arkansas, and Driven through hurricane winds and rain with mine and haven't had any serious troubles. Not saying they are the best because they aren't but I haven't had any troubles worth speaking of.

I've had them on two different trucks, not the Taco though. I like them. Wet road traction isn't the best, but I never had a problem stopping, just trying to take off. Good all around tire, IMO, but not the greatest at any one thing. They seemed to hold up well also.

I have BFG AT's on my taco, and had them on my old dodge. Personally, i think they do the job offroad just fine, and I havent had any issues driving around on flooded freeways..

With my BFG AT's and prerunner (locked diff) I didnt' have any problems starting/stopping in sandy washes...maybe a tad bit stiffer than beaches but not by much. I only aired down to 25psi. The first time I tried I was around 35psi (norm) unlocked and I had the rear wheels about 3/4 barried in the sand. We were able to get it out locked and rocking reverse/drive. If you're not locked I probably wouldn't try, LSD might be ok but I have no experiance with it in sand.

If you know what your doing in sand, rolling a tire off the rim wont happen. I have been aired down to where it doesnt register on the gauge, and have been fine.

As for the BFG A/T's... I've had them on my 87 ranger 2.9 and never got stuck period. Always on the beach, always playing in the dunes back in Oregon, mud pits, everything. NEVER :)

As for 2wd in the sand. Don't stop. I've always had to kick it in 4wd if I stopped. Usually 4lo because the damn ranger never had power to get out of ruts haha... I'd always burn my original clutch that I eventually changed at 227k miles :)

I got my dad's '04 tacoma 5-lug stuck going downhill in sand in the desert. We were at 30 psi. I had to swerve and brake hard to avoid an idiot in a jeep driving up the middle of the road. Got one wheel off the road into semi soft sand. It dug in as I braked and stopped. I mean come on 3 wheels on hard pack and one in sand and it got stuck! I dug it out and was able to get out without airing down. we were only on gravel roads the rest of that trip so I kept the psi up. Point being, no locker and you will probably get stuck, big deal. Have fun and bring the right gear. My '08 Taco has rebar "ladders" I made for traction. They work great. and hold better than wood, just go slow so you don't bash you quarter panels with rebar.

If you do stop, start moving very slowly... once you start to spin your tires in sand.. it is over.
