Hi guys name is Jason, and this is my first time in a fourm ever. I recently purchased a 2013 tacoma pre runner 2wd. And I also bought a set of dropstar 18x9 " rims on a set of Toyo Open Country A/T 33" tires. The offset is a -12. I was wondering what would be a good suspension kit to purchase where I did not have to do a lot of trimming. If any at all, I really would like to not have to trim any of my inner fenders. Thanks in advance for all the great input and advice. Please help.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Most of the 2-3 inch kits should work, but there will probably be some light rubbing. You will likely have to remove the mud flaps at minimum.

I was thinking of going with a 4" suspension lift, and Im totally ok with taking off the mud flaps

I don't have a second gen so I can't tell you exactly what you won't and will have to do, but just keep in mind you can change the height but you can't change the size of the wheel well without cutting. So it may fix the issue with rubbing the top of the well when flexing, but many of us have to trim a minor amount of trimming (hardly noticeable) in the well when going up tire sizes. Just something to keep in mind

What kind of lift are you thinking about going with? Most bolt on coilovers are 1-3 inches. 3 inches or less will encounter the least issues and that extra inch might not be worth it, in my opinion. Maybe some other members can chime in with their experience on suspension lifts to help you with your decision.

Could go with some spindles since he has a prerunner. More options for 2nd gens. They can be pricy but I heard they give really good ride quality and don't hurt issues with alignment

Well just left Scrappin The Coast 2015, and just saw a lot of great Tacoma's. Does anyone know of a great company that does the changing halo oracle strobe headlights.
