Some trucks have the mechanical LSD (05-08) and others have the auto LSD (09+).

If you don't have the LSD (either of them), then yeah....you have an open diff.

2WD Rear wheel drive vehicles usually do suck (in wet/snow/etc) because there's no weight back there.

What application are you using it in? They only suck if you're trying to use a 2wd where your would need a 4wd. I love my 2wd, I just don't bring it in situations where I would have needed a 4wd. :D

Yours may suck, however mine doesn't. Mine managed to get out of a place where my friends Z71 in 4lo couldn't.

2wd's do not suck. Ive taken my truck through some pretty nasty stuff and all i have is the lsd in the rear.
However, there are certain places I wont take my truck bc i dont want to get into a situation where i cant get out if needed.
But, with the right driver 2wd is very capable

I think we have all seen enough bashing of 2wd's lately. Are we gonna have to make a seperate forum for 2wd's and 4wd's or can we all just get along!?!?!

offroading is not all about 4wd.....its more abt the driver, if you can drive you can take a 2wd almost anywhere....:)

WE can and do get along, but you just can't start off a thread with the declaration that 2WD sucks. It has it's limitations and we are all aware of that. I can get stuck in my 4WD too if I don't look out.
