If you are going offroad, having an OEM electronic locker is really significant on a 2wd truck. Unlike 4x4 which does have a drawback (gas mileage), there really is no downside to having a larger rear end with a locker. Tires aired down, good driving, and a locked rear diff will get you around most of the SoCal deserts.

I'm not sure why the whole Sport/Offroad thing is such a sensitive topic. It's exhausting reading everyone justify one side or the other. The differences between Sport and Offroad packages are well defined. Pick the features you prefer and live your life.

I initially didn't want 4x4 either but I was talked into it (more like shamed into it from my buddies) and I went with the 4x4 Sport. Sooo glad I did! My only regret now is not getting the Off-Road instead for the locker. The extra $2-3k is worth it in my opinion.

Based on my extensive TW research, that's not possible, sir. 2wd AND a Sport?!? You are obviously stuck and waiting for a tow in all these pictures.
