There's nothing wrong with 2WD. It just depends on your needs. I don't go off road much (well, unless you count that half mile pothole filled unpaved shithole I have to drive down every day to the daycare), just some dirt trails to fishing holes and such, so it was a no brainer for me because I don't need 4WD. And we certainly never see any snow in SC (OK, once every 6 years and it lasts about 30 minutes).

never had a problem pulling the boat out in 2wd. It can get a little slippery if it's wet, but with the locker no problem

The Locking Diff's activate both rear tires to spin while accelerating. It gives traction to both rears (just in case one has no traction and is just spining). It's basically the next best thing besides 4wd.

    Nothing yet, brand new!
I have some crappy phone pics in my gallery. I've been really happy with mine. Gone offroad /trails several times. Nothing too serious. Mine does towing duty on a routing basis. Have 50k on it now with no issues present or past.

Agreed it depends on your needs. I went with 4wd because the places where I hunt and wheel sometimes are impossible to reach with 2wd. Not sayin that 2wds suck offroad...they just dont get me where I need to go.

btw- i see your around murrels inlet. I hope to make it out there this summer!

TWD = more weight, more sh!t to break, poorer MPG and the list goes on. Unless you plan to of road in a serious manner, 2WD i the way to go!

bad question, what i meant was what all is needed for installation and how does it affect how the truck rides, as well as mpg diff?
