I just ran Spring Mountain Raceway in Nevada in March. And it was amazing! It was my first track day and everyone that was there said how it's the best track overall besides Chuckwalla. Pavement is brand new, super smooth. And tons of fun. My truck is my daily so I can't modify it too much lol Let me know if you can make that track day.

 

Pin stripes? More like stories to tell

 

When people ask me about my pin stripes I just tell them nicklovin took a wrong turn and took the long way out

 

The white hides them very well, now this f'ing black nissan shows everything. I got the truck washed today and yeah I am going to have to fix some trail damage. @SocalOC, no I didn't get the extra insurance.

 

Yeah some will, I took like 4 giant scratches down the entire passenger side. They are small and can't be seen athe distance, but get up close and they are clearly seen. I will work on it this week. I just don't want any crap from enterprise. I have not had good experiences in the past with said company. Lol

 

I just want to take this time to thank @itaro for helping me today to install my @HeadStrong Off-Road 1/2" top plate spacer. He taught me so much and help make this a quick installation.

People like him make TW the great community it is. I have these bad photos during the installation, tomorrow I will post photos of the truck. It has a slight bro lean but should settle in slightly in a few miles.

I'm getting cold feet about installing the maxtracs myself. I'm going to look for some one that can do the install. Any recommendations?

 

The brake lines are what make me nervous, as I have never done a brake bleed. Every thing else looks pretty straight forward..

 

Full leaf pack. But it's the spindles that worrie me. Bruce said I could do it at his house and he would help this Saturday but I don't feel confident.

 

A second set of hands to move the axel forward while another set puts in the center pin is helpful. Leafs a not to bad of a job, just do one side at a time.

 

3" lift it's doable, but with spindles locating the wheel 4" lower, when drooped the lines wouldn't be long enough.

Greg and I both learned doing my leaf springs. They're easy, the difficult part (at first) is getting the first side done. Lining the leafs up problerly was a little awkward haha.
Also don't forget to do one side at a time to help keep the axle aligned.

 

I watch a video that made it look very simple. I doubt it will be easy.

 

Make sure to have the right tool to separate the ball joint from the stock spindle. Stupid thing was a PITA without one.

 

It's just turning a wrench, that's easy. What's hard is it takes a few hours to do.
