2x to 4x conversion for my 2nd gen (14)

I used the stock 4wd shafts from a Tacoma DCSB front and rear but you'll need to make an extension off you stock location of the center bearing bracket for the drive shaft turn bolt up to on the rear or you can have your drive shaft modified to fit it . If your a 4.0 v6 then you should be 3.73 gear ratio on the rear so you would need a 3.73 differential for the front

 

okay I’ll get into it. So the shifter for transfer case goes straight through the floor into coin slot. Did you have to weld or do something custom to shifter ?

 

If unmodified the shifter will be in the front pocket just right of the shifter . You will need to cut a hole in the floor board tho
. If you want it in the coin holder then you'll have to cut the shifter and weld pieces to it to get it there
