Alright, this is my 2008 4x2 prerunner with a long bed. I’m going in circles with what I should do for a lift and tires. My goal is maybe 33-34in tires with 17in rims. Will a 3in lift be good? I was planning on doing springs not a leveling kit. Can you give me some pointers on good quality kit ideas, what do I do for the rear and what would be too over the top for a lift. Thanks!! If you have a lifted long bed, post some pictures!!

call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and ask about the @ChadsPride special.

It's a prerunner. Unless you are building a desert racer there's no need to be complex. Also, keep in mind that more wheel/tire reduces effective gear ratios and adds weight. It may look good parked, but be disappointing in with real world performance/MPG.

Not saying 'don't', just know what you are undertaking.

    It's a 4X2, not a stick of lumber.

If you can be happy with 32" tires you can get by with minimal modifications and loss of performance. Going to 33's, especially 34's will require a lot more expense to do it right for minimal gain over 32's. You're not only going to have to modify the suspension to make those bigger tires fit, you're going to have to re-gear it to get back some of the power you're going to lose.
