Hey guys no way was I trying to start an argument over any of this. Was just trying to see what the best fix would be. I haven’t done and alignment yet so maybe this will clear it up. Hopefully I have a buddy running the same set up only difference is he hasn’t done the UCA yet but has had an alignment done

Don’t swet people bickering over what methods to use. Start with the alignment and go from there. With a 3” lift I would def recommend an upgraded UCA.

Also check out the cmc thread referenced earlier. Depending on how you plan to use the truck will determine what you need to do. If your not planning to off road you might get away with alignment only or alignment plus some trimming. If you plan to off road you may need a combination of alignment/UCA, trimming and cmc.
Good luck and keep us posted with the progress!

*edit: I see you’ve done the UCA - perfect !

the right alignment guy should be able to give you an inch forward... if it still rubs, you gonna need to start trimming, then you'll see if you need body mount chop...
if your gonna do light off roading then just chop it...

Since no one could just be straight forward with you, I’ll tell you how it is after a 3” lift and larger tires on these trucks. Aftermarket UCAs. Alignment with 4 degrees of caster. Cab mount chop. Minor inner fender trimming. Presto. You’ll now have a functional, non rubbing, sweet looking truck. Easy as that. Don’t get all confused with these lame answers. It’s not rocket science. And for the guy who took out his whole fender lining, that looks like crap. Don’t go that route.

    Just starting.
My solution for the rub was to set the caster all the way forward, @a2lowvw helped me a ton. He is the man and I appreciate him everyday I drive the truck.

Sounds good will do. Maybe I have to go with 285/75/18 instead. I still have 30 days on these tires
