Im willing to get roasted for this - but my Google searches have came up empty - so here goes!

Wondering if anybody makes a 3/4 height hardshell truck bed topper thingy?

The typical GFC and DirtBox - I mean its ok - it just looks like a newer boomer version of the same old same old.
Ideally after putting on a RTT - it'd be not much higher than the cab height with a roof rack - but at the same time - allows more storage options than say a low profile hardcover - like a Diamondback.

Attached below is an ideal height of such "thingy" - (that's the technical term by the way)

Is there such a product or company out there that has escaped my searches?

    None
I'm curious as to why you would want one?

Mainly to keep the RTT overall height at or near the same height as the cab with roof rack - otherwise IMO it all just looks like one big jingle truck - plus in many areas where I overland, trails are tight and height clearance is a thing.

    Lol no…
No one makes a cap that’s shorter than cab height. The market for people who would purchase something like that is just too small. Closest thing you’re going to find is a mid-height bed rack that you could put a tent on
Edit: Link from the first reply does indeed look like what you want. Custom built is going to be the only way to go

That SnapCap is spendy, but something like this is more or less what I want. Would let me store more gear than a tonneau, while keeping it dry, secure, and out of sight and my RTT flush with the roofline. (I have an 80"x50" wedge on a 12 tall" rack that fits between my cab and the spare tire.)

This vendor mentions custom fit & lists a whatsApp contact. Maybe.

    mid height bed rack maybe

with or without some sort of cover if you're looking for that. Such as a tonneau

if you have an RTT at roof height, alone it will stick out some. But not as much if you also have gear atop a cab rack.
Or, an alternative, something that pops open like a GFC

    flatbed ute tray
put whatever size box and height you want

Why not just do a diamond back cover with a bed rack and then put the rtt on it . Your gear is secure under and u still should be at cab level for the rtt.
