If it was an issue with the cracks in the intake near the MAF then I'd imagine it would throw a P0171 or similar

grab yourself a bluetooth one from Amazon for ~$30. The Torque App on Android allows me to read the codes and clear them

Have you done coils and plug wires? Now I'd say you're leaning towards a ground out coil or plug wires. Has this engine compartment been flooded?

    Edit:
Actually, I think this happened to my friend on his 2003, it turned out that it stripped out the #3 spark plug and it needed a helicoil and sparkplug fix.

P0300 Random misfire is an indication that the problem is something that effects ALL cylinders like false air, vacuum leak etc.

It COULD be this or multiple loose spark plugs, or injectors that aren't working properly or a loose head or intake.

Ok. Swapped plugs, runs fine now and no CEL.
Jacked up rear of truck, first gear, 2wd, let off clutch and it will rev to 4k and not die
Jacked up front and rear, first gear, 4wd, let off clutch and it will rev as well
Drive around, it will sputter like it's been doing and die.

    :notsure:

Not enough to have a build thread.
Fuel pressure? Do we have a clogged fuel filter or pump?

If you get a phone app and a blue tooth obd reader that has a misfire counter, you can check which cylinders are not firing correctly. It's only $35-40 for the hardware and software. If they are all misfiring at the same time when it's sputtering then it would have to be something that affects all cylinders at the same time and / or equally like a clogged cat, vacuum leak, or fuel pump. It's a lot better than guessing your way through the diagnosis.

Maybe it's a loose nut behind the wheel.
