I recently installed a new timing belt on my 3.4. when I installed the new tensioner pulley, the 10mm Allen bolt will pinch the pulley bracket to the point it will not pivot. Should there be a washer between the block and bracket?

If you want/need a picture of the washer and can't find one online I can get one for you by saturday evening, I have a 5VZ torn down for a water pump/timing belt at the shop right now.

It's thicker than a standard washer, if I had a micrometer I'd mic it out for you but I don't so hopefully this helps.

Does it fit the bolt tight on the inside?

There is very little play in the washer when it's on the bolt, so yes, I would say it's a tight fit.

I found mine (shew). I'm guessing that it was stuck to the old pulley bracket and it fell off when it hit the "junk pile". After a brief search I found it.

Thanks for the help! I love this place.
