    Nope. Not if you get the right one. 98 is when it changed.

    I have lots of info on this in my build I'll dig up once back on a computer.

    I will take all of the info I can get. I know that when I V6 swapped my truck, I had to change the 95.5 engine and interior harness to the 96 harness to work. It was a pain.

    Excellent. I will look into getting one of those. Thanks for the help.
    Question: does that ecu work with my egr and other emissions? Colorado is picky about that stuff.

    Looks like I need that ecu, supercharger, and the URD 6 injector kit.

    I honestly don't know. I don't have EGR. Can't imagine it would matter though as that is a mechanical system, not an electronics.

    If you swapped the motor, why didn't you delete that shit?

    Emissions. When I swapped it, I took it through a special inspection to become emissions compliant. They went through the entire swap and ensured that the emissions equipment from 1996 was installed. Egr, charcoal canister, dual O2 Sensors, cat, emissions monitors, CEL, etc.

    yeah but not every 96 had EGR..mine doesn't. Could have just skipped that bit :p
