So I read on this forum yesterday where a guy put a 3/4in D Ring on the front of his prerunner. I went to go put it on today and the bolt is too big for the hole. How can I get this on there? Should I just drill out the hole, or buy a different size?

3/4" shackle has 7/8" pin  where are you wanting to put a shackle on the front of a prerunner?

Because I use my truck like it supposed to be used.
So 7/8 pin is too big?

I do to......take a pic of where you are wanting to attach it, lets see what you are working with. I dont know of a recovery rated point on the front of a prerunner, but I may be mistaken. there is likely a securement loop, but it is not rated to recovery

ah dam........might be due to powdercoat? PC reduces openeing size just a smidge...........if its close, I would bore out the PC on the inside and hit it with some black rattle can to prevent rust

The tie down loop is the other thing. The item pictured is actually the recovery point. It's not ideal. The SOS recovery point is a good option. I replaced mine with a TRD OR recovery hook. Every TRD OR Tacoma with an aftermarket bumper used to have the hook. The hook is nice, 'cause you don't need a shackle to use a snatch strap.

10-4 to that, good point. I remember the hook  hooking a strap to a shackle is best, to prevent strap from coming off under slack
