This is correct the vacuum diaphram shouldn't have any fuel coming out of it unless you unbolt it from the rail.

On some Tacomas with a certain design it is also possible to flip the MAF around backwards.

Okay I don't feel much, if any vacum because this vacuum line runs to the intake tube after the filter so it does t get much vacuum pressure

I'm pulling the valve covers tomarow to inspect the cams.
I've been working thinking about the igniter but I can't afford to just spend $400 on a new one if it's not going to work and it's a special order part so I couldn't return it if didn't work.

I would think that the cam and crank sensors would be throwing codes if they were not working.

I also checked the crank shaft gear today along with the woodruff key and the tone ring- I was told my a Toyota mechanic that those could be contributing factors to my problems- but everything was good.

$400? Geez they're proud of that. No junk yards around? Were do you live?

I think you'd have a miss if the cam or crank sensors were bad, and you're only having trouble at 2,000 rpms & higher. The tone ring was a good idea to check. If the woodruff key sheers, you'll know it way before 2k rpms. When setting the timing- are you lining up the crank mark & the cam shafts? Use dielectric grease on all your connections too.

Yes everything is lined up perfectly and I put dielectric grease on every conextor when I did my Moter swap last month.

Ok. Just checking every possible thing...before you spend anymore $$. Hopefully the MAF will resolve it. You're along ways from the 'Sip!

I'm not sure what your ignition control module part # is...but Amazon has a couple Toyotas for $80. Napa online was $449, there's no telling what the OEM cost
