3.4l dual alt bracket?

    Where would you put a 2nd one? No room with the 3.4L.

    Why not just do a higher amp output GM alt. It is practically bolt on.

    It really depends on how you use your truck. The stock alt is barely adequate with its 80 amp out put and when you start adding things like stereo amplifiers, offroad lighting, fridge, CB/Ham, HID retrofits and want to keep your phone and laptop charged. It starts to add up.

    Wanting/needing more amps is a very reasonable goal.

    Then, for truck health reasons, what happens if you put a 100 amp in there and have no need for it? will the voltage regulator just drop the voltage so no damage can be done?

    It is the ability to produce higher amp output when needed that is important. With a HO alt the voltage may be be slightly higher but not much. Certainly not enough to cause damage or anything like that.

    Any properly operating alt will or should produce 14 volts at idle. What is critical is what happens when you turn on all your lights and crank up that stereo. Can the alt maintain that 14 volts. The stock alt can struggle in that situation.

    Exactly... No voltage drop... I had a local alt/ starter shop rebuild a stock for me and I have jack shit idle voltage... Really disappointed with that decision... It doesn't kick in till 1000 rpm... My Sierra has a mechman 370elite in it which my voltage never drops below 14... The reason I'd like to go with 2 250s from bamaboy is cause I'll have more reserve and better idle amperage than I would ever have with a mechman and pay about the same but getting more 500a hot instead of 330-350

    With dual I can have one run my truck winch and lighting accessories while leaving me one just for audio reasons

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    You would have to isolate both circuits, no? Would be too much of a hassle if you ask me. Plenty of people do just fine with a quality HO alt and dual batteries, etc...

    There's triple and quad brackets for gm trucks and SUVs and just running two sounds pretty simple to me

    Design a bracket that will allow to bolt up with said red circled bolt and run second alternator in space above the oem location

    If I get a new job soon I'm gonna try to figure it out cause I wanna see it too... And I compared my stock Tacoma alt and my stock 04 Sierra alt and there's big differences
