Tapped on lifter with brass drift and plastic hammer. Seems like it went down a little bit but didn’t pop up. I’m guessing the heads need to come off.

Did a little research about removing the cam shafts and it looks like the hardest part will be removing the timing belt tensioner. Anyone know of a way to get it off without removing AC and PS components?

Alrighty. I have most components removed but I am now at the point where I need to remove the drivers side exhaust manifold. All nuts came off without turning a stud by spraying Ballistol oil first.

The problem is the studs coming from the head and cross over pipe are at right angles. I can't seem to pull the manifold over the studs because the studs from the crossover pipe are engaged, and vise versa with the studs on cross over pipe. I took a large screw driver and pry'd back the crossover pipe a tad, but I am afraid to apply too much force.

Anyone know of any good tricks?
